I cannot express in words the relief I got when I saw the email confirmation that the LoRs had been submitted. It felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my back. It's one thing to have your application rejected because you weren't good enough, it's another to have it not considered at all because someone you were depending on didn't submit a letter. As it is, I'm not sure if my applications at the 3 schools that received the LoR 3 weeks late will be considered with the other applicants', but the remaining 7 should be (I hope). If I'm able to one day become a professor, I hereby resolve to always be punctual with LoR requests!

Good to hear that it's no longer a worry for you! I do hope those 3 schools still give you a fair shot. I mean, it's such a common issue with applicants.... you'd think that they'd be lenient with that.
And hooray for punctual professors! One of my LOR writers was ridiculously good about getting in his letters way before the deadline. It was FANTASTIC. I'll have to make sure my thank you card is extra thankful.
Oh goodness, I think LORs were the most stressful part of the application process for me...! It was the one thing totally out of my control. Actually, I still have one application left and one LOR missing, so I still have to figure that out....Good to hear that it's no longer a worry for you!

Oh definitely, hooray for punctual profs! I'll be getting my thank you cards this weekend to send to my LoR writers. Is the missing LoR for all your apps or just for one? I hope it gets submitted ASAP.
Just one app, but he's out of town right now (in Antarctica...), but I'll figure something out!

Oh definitely, hooray for punctual profs!
