Macchiato, Can i ask you what you're background is? I am still waiting on Yale and starting to think i should just call to inquire. I guess we're definitely in the "no news is bad news" time. I've gotten into three great schools (Duke, UCLA, UNC) thus far but would love to hear some examples of ma theses and SOP's that made yale's list.

HalFoster, WOW! This is the stuff of good art history and GREAT scholarship. This is what programs should be looking for. That school that you got rejected from (**I also got rejected too**) made the wrong decision. I completely agree with everything you say in your post and shame on anyone for voting it down. Museums are also full of white bourgeois missionaries carrying out their charitable work and I hope that the work of great art historians can expose this ridONKulous state of affairs.

Ioubun: Thanks! I study issues of race and artifice in contemporary portraiture and performance art, especially through the lens of critical race theory. What is your field? When did you hear from Northwestern? Have you heard from UNC yet? I applied there as well. What school do you want to attend most?

Princeton rejected me too....WHO gets in to that program? anyone get in this year?

accepted to Duke and UCLA! Rejected from 2 other schools... anyone know when Yale is sending in their letters out? what about University of Chicago?

Finished with my apps! I'm waiting it out now too...I still open up the SOP's I submitted. 2nd time applying....i just need one school (preferably Yale!) but I am applying for jobs for fall just in case. Applied to Yale, Northwestern, Princeton, UCLA, Duke, UNC Chapel Hill, UT Austin, U Chicago
