I use Drawboard PDF from the Microsoft app store to read and annotate pdfs/powerpoint slides/ etc. If you have a tablet or pc with active digitizer, it's a pretty slick app for highlighting, making notes, and drawing. I think it cost like 5 bucks maybe, but it has been worth it for sure. There is a trial period as well.

Thinkpads. They are bulletproof, powerful, and if you choose to go with the x-series, very portable. The only downside is that they sometimes look like black boxes, so people who like flashy tech gear will be turned away. But, I love my thinkpad.

Do you mind if I ask, what model did you purchase from Lenovo? I need to replace my current laptop, and I'm looking at Lenovo, but I can't decide which computer to get.
