  1. so did I take test on January 2nd and got them back on 11th. btw how are your scores?
  2. Many thanks for your comment, now it makes more sense I really appreciate it
  3. Thank you for your comment, actually we were talking about GRE, but since I am taking my MSc from a canadian school and my BSc was from abroad, so I waived TOEFL. However my IELTS score was quite good and it was 7.0. Do you think a good SOP can do anything influential for me? I am really disppointed by AWA.
  4. It might be the same for Stanford but could you please comment of the percentile of the internationals accepted to Duke's? My understanding is around 60% on average, is that correct? do they overlook AWA for MSc applicants?
  5. Actually I don't have enough time to retake it as the deadline is approaching. And you are right the average is the same for our program as well. But do they take internationals the same as native-speakers? Is there any way to compensate it?
  6. I have a MSc in electrical engineering and am applying to a MSc in management science and engineering at Stanford. I wrote for GRE and my scores are Q 164, V 149 and AWA 3.0. How you see my chances to get into the program? Btw I am an international student and my GPA is 4.0. I am really worried about my status. Any advises and past experiences are appreciated
  7. how is your AW? or like me you are awaiting it to come out? btw your profile sounds excellent enough for those schools
  8. Folks, many thanks for your help, I took the test today and ended up with V 149 and Q 164. Now awaiting AW to come out What do you think if schools tolerate not native English speakers for a low verbal ?
  9. I have almost done with flash cards but I feel it may not cover all the words required for verbal I encountered some questions in Princeton that needed knowing new words !!! I appreciate it if you could give me some last minute word of wisdom Many many thanks
  10. I don't see any problem with your verbal score as we both are from an engineering background afterall. However, the role of your AW is also important. Have you get your AW score yet? which world-list you had used for memorizing vocabs? and are you an internationl student? it's really tough for us to get the verbal done
  11. I think your chance is really high for top tier schools as long as your letters are strongly supportive and your AW is at least 4.0. I wish my verbal was the same as I have one in couple of weeks. Any advises for the test preparation in verbal? I really appreciate it.
  12. rickytran344 : we are talking about verbal in GRE rather than GMAT. I think sentence correction is in GMAT, am I right? By the way thanks for your comment
  13. Many many thanks I really appreciate your helps
  14. I bought 500-word flashcards of Kaplan, is that good enough for a score above 155 in verbal?
  15. Thanks a lot, memorizing how many words you are suggesting is assuring that would get the entire vocab required questions answered? I apprecite for suggesting any word-list you had used in the past.
