Hi, for those who are still waiting to hear : a source has told that all spots in the program has been taken and there is no possibility of any further intake for this fall. Good luck to those who made it and better luck next time to those who couldn't make it this time.

Just to report further developments : sent mail to know about the decision made, if any. As there was no reply, called them up and was told that they would send a mail communication, which has not been received yet.Sent them another mail reminder and am still waiting to hear from them. It would have been so much better to have known their decision asap as we are already in June. Although there have been several views on this page, no one has posted about his/her status. Will much appreciate if those who made it or are in the waitlist reply here for the benefit of others. Reporting of any other communication received from the PhD Program would be of help.Thanks.

It seems that the selection process for the above program has been completed as an applicant has received mail that he has been put on the wait-list, even without an interview. Has anyone else heard from them or better still received acceptance. Please post the details for the benefit of those who are still waiting. I have no communication from them yet and feeling very disappointed. Thanks.

GRE ( not subject ) and TOEFL are required for admission to the program. i have taken these and the scores are decent. Since there appear to be no post about interviews and acceptances, perhaps the process is still on. It would be nice if other applicants also post about the status of their applications. I am an international student applicant for this program. Haven't had any communication from them yet regarding interview etc. Has anyone heard from them in this matter, especially international applicants. If so, would request you to post the status of your application. Will be useful to all who have applied for this program. Even status of application to other Research programs of the School of Graduate Studies would be useful. Thanks

Sorry it is taking time for you to get acceptance; it is a test of patience. I feel somehow that you are going to make it finally and this long wait will make it all the more sweeter. don't lose hope yet. I am yet to hear from any of the three schools -Temple, Virginia Tech and SUNY Downstate Medical Center - I applied to for even an interview and am very disappointed at this stage. The brighter side, if I may say so, is that no decision appears to have been made yet and I am hoping for the best while preparing for the worst.

The long wait has paid off. congrats. Hope this includes full funding. getting acceptance without even an interview is great. Your GPA and GRE scores should be very good. Did you also take the subject GRE ?

Does the interview ratio 1:4 mean that for one slot four candidates are interviewd. Any way congrats on your acceptance. Which school are you going to ?

I too have applied for PhD program in Biomedical Sciences to Temple, Virginia Tech & SUNY Downstate Medical Centre and haven't heard from any of them yet. Applied to two of them after my preapplication was cleared by them.I too am feeling unnerved but still hoping for some positive news. Good luck to you.

Hi everyone, Have been following this topic with interest and have joined this site only recently. Have applied for PhD program to Temple, Virginia Tech and SUNY Downstate medical center, but haven't heard from them yet regarding an interview or rejection. I have seen in couple of posts that acceptances are made without an interview. Is this an exception or the practice with some schools. Does anyone know about the admission status at these schools ? Haven't come across anyone in this topic to have applied to these schools. will be a lot of help if some one can clarify. Congrats to those who have been accepted and goodluck to those who are waiting for the good news.
