I hate SOPHAS also!!! They never gonna listen to your complain until you send your complaining mail 100 times! They never gonna update your status until it is almost toooooooo late..I sent my TOEFL score as early as november 2012, but until this Feburary I keep receiving mails from my schools asking for my scores! I wrote many mails asking for help in order to have my status updated, and only receive their feedback just on time to update those files--right before the application deadline! I couldn't complain more,,I just had enough..to think that one day if I tend to apply for a doctoral degree of public health is a torture!

I am going to start my MPH study this fall and serious considering advance into doctoral study after graduation.. As what Columbia Univ. Mailman School of public health's website says, can I take it as PhD students is more likely to get scholarships or other kinds of finacial help compare with their DrPH counterparts? I can study for a doctoral program if only finacial help available..

I will go to Atlanta this fall, attending Emory RSPH.. This city will be my first stop in USA..I am from China so I have no idea about how my life will be.. I knew that the cost of housing is not expensive here in Atlanta..but I want to know more about this city...! Is there friends in Atlanta? Is car necessary for living in Atlanta(or the place where Emory located?)..I had driving license in China but had to get an American one, is it hard for foreigner to get driving license in USA? Thank you...
