  1. Congratulations! Although I would of loved to see you at the University of Northern Iowa I don't blame you for not wanting to risk it, I wish we found out earlier than March. It sure would make my life easier, haha. Congrats as well on the scholarship, that's awesome! Best of luck to you!
  2. Hey guys- So I know it depends on the school and their admission guidelines, but are any of you waiting to send your transcripts until your grades from this semester are finalized? I think that's what I am going to do. Any thoughts on this? It makes me kind of nervous sending things in after they are due but it seems as if most places allow you to do it when it comes to transcripts. Thanks! Rachel
  3. SLPamy: Yes, that is my understanding. That deadline is fast approaching, I can't wait to be done with it! I see that you're also applying to Elmhurst, me too! I am hoping to attend their visit day in December so I can learn more about the program and get a feel for the school. Any extra info you have on their program would be super helpful
  4. Hi! So I had planned on taking a trip down to Austin to attend their annual CSD Info day on October 25th, long story short I wasn't able to attend. Did anyone on here go? Did you learn something helpful about applying or about their program in general? Thier website provides lots of information but I thought I would see if anyone had something to add! Thanks!
  5. Good to hear!! UNI is a great school with an even better graduate program. The program is really hands on/clincally based and the professors are incredible, they definietly have an open door policy. Good luck to you!
  6. Hi all! While looking around and researching schools I was happy to stumble upon this website and feed! I am in the process of applying to speech path graduate schools for Fall 2014. I'm finishing my undergrad at the University of Northern Iowa but plan to apply to around 5 schools including UNI. My cumulative GPA isn't very competitive (3.5) major (3.7) so I've been trying to find schools that accept studuents will lower gpa's...do you guys reccomend any? I am studying my butt off for the gre and working on my personal statement so I can better my chances but thought it wouldn't hurt to see what you guys think! Any feedback would be helpful Thanks!!
