    MCB Dartmouth

Dartmouth has shuttles that run between the main campus and the medical center. I think there are also buses that run through Hanover/Lebanon NH as well.

    MCB Dartmouth

Thanks! My fingers are crossed at any rate. Yes, I did get to see some of the labs at both the Medical School(on the main campus) and at the Dartmouth Medical Center(about a 10 minute drive away). Most PIs seem to have small labs(<10 members), mainly with graduate students though there are some post docs there as well. I had 6 interviews while I was there and all my interviewers seemed nice and pretty laid back. bb9931 When did you hear about your acceptance? I am starting to really worry...
  3. FYI I am a domestic applicant and received my Harvard BBS rejection via postal mail a couple of days ago. I should also add that I'm in MA so the letter probably got to me rather quickly.

    MCB Dartmouth

Hey, I also applied to Dartmouth MCB and was at their interview weekend 3 weeks ago. I haven't gotten in yet, but was told I'll hear back next week about the final admissions decision. If you have any questions about the campus, facilities, etc I'll try my best to answer them
  5. Has anybody that interviewed at Tufts Sackler (Immuno) heard back from them yet? I remember others here were interviewing there. I noticed more than one person in the results section has gotten accepted, which leaves me a bit perturbed since when I interviewed, they said decisions would not be made until March.
  6. I was at the Tufts Immuno interview for locals on Monday. It sounds like those from further away will have a visit later in the month, after the next local interview day(Feb 16). I was told that decisions for acceptance to the program will be made around the beginning of March after interviews are completed, but apparently someone here has already been accepted to the program (posted in results).
  7. Just got an interview at BU Pathology/Immunology today
  8. Just heard from Tufts Sackler Immunology via email. On a Saturday!
  9. We applied to several of the same schools. I still haven't heard anything from the MA schools (Tufts, UMass, BU, Harvard) and I don't know if anyone has yet. Nothing like silence from 6 out of 9 schools. I am sure you will get interviews
  10. Yes, I did apply to Dartmouth MCB and heard back from them on 12/21 about an interview. The interview weekend is 2/19-2/20 so there is still plenty of time for them to send out more invites. Good luck! Still haven't heard a peep from the other schools I applied to...the wait is killing me.
  11. The UCSF BMS program has already finished sending out invites, most went out on 12/18 (I know someone currently enrolled there). Unfortunately I did not get one
  12. I also applied to the cancer bio program at UMass medical and have not heard anything yet. I have 3 invites so far at Weill Cornell, Dartmouth, and Duke so I am not as panicky about it as I would be if I had no invites
  13. GPA: 3.23 cumulative/3.44 Jr/Sr year from a top 25 liberal arts college GRE: 640 V(91%) 760 Q(86%) 5.0 AW(77%) GRE Subject: Retaking in Oct Research: 1yr during undergrad including internship at a well known research hospital going on 2yrs now post graduation(07) working as a research associate for small biotechs 1 publication, possibly 1 more before apps are submitted LORs: CSO of my current company, CEO of last company I worked at, professor I worked for as an undergrad Schools: Harvard, UCSF, UCSD, Cornell Weill, UMass Medical, BU, Dartmouth, Tufts, Duke, WUSTL, maybe more I know my GPA is on the low side, but I am hoping my research experience, scores, and LORs can offset that fact. The programs I am looking at are either umbrella programs or cancer biology/immunology. My internship was in a cancer lab and the two companies I have worked for since graduation have focused on autoimmune disease, with a lot of assay development work and some downstream target biology. Don't know if it helps or not, but my internship and two companies are affiliated with one of the schools I am applying to. Do I stand a chance at these schools?
