Hello! I applied to the joint PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Structural Biology. Any news from the two Unis? No response from any of the people in the adcom, as well as from program directors. I know their target date (deadline) is April 15 (offers), but isn't that too late already? Thanks!

Hi! As far as I know, they have a waitlist (10 applicants as of now). Accepted students were emailed encouraging those who are certain they will not take Vanderbilt's offer to decline as soon as possible so as to accommodate those who are in the waitlist. I believe deadline for the response is April 15, so they may extend offers to those in the waitlist by then. PS. I have no idea if they notified the people in the waitlist

to those accepted by Vanderbilt, did the notification come from the graduate school?

Hi, I've been following this thread for so long now. I emailed the AdCom and the chair of the recruiting com of the joint Pitt-CMU program and the chair of the rec.com. responded right away stating that " I don't really know about the status of the review process in any detail (aside from the fact that it is ongoing)". Also, "it is not unusual to not yet have heard about any decisions yet, at this time of year." He says he'll try to touch base with the AdCom and email me back once he has some update on the process.
