This forum as been too quiet, UVA Fall 2014...anyone Looking at 14th St housing, grad court, yes or no?

Lori, look near the top of this page, you will see Results Search. Click on that, it will take you to the most recent postings about rejections/acceptances/wait list. There is a small box that has a drop down of how many results to view on one page, I usually hit 100 because it's easier on an ipad. Instead of going through all the results you can type in the name of the school and major that interests you in the results search box. You will see posts as far back as a couple of years related to whatever you put in. You can check by school, by major or a combination of the two. Unfortunately once you find this page you will probably be addicted to checking it every few hours! Good luck.

Not sure what to tell you except this was posted last week in the results forum- Virginia Tech Civil Engineering (Structural), PhD (F14) Other via E-mail on 8 Apr 2014 I 8 Apr 2014 Mailed virginia tech for admission status and got following response " The Faculty are finalizing their decisions on applications. I cannot give you firm deadline on the decision except to say that all decisions for International students must be made by May 15th. "

Was going insane here too, had not received any news from any of my schools. This morning emailed and heard back from two, both acceptance! Good luck, hope you hear some good news today.

Anyone know of a list of schools with late admission deadlines? Haven't heard from any applied to at this point. Would prefer east coast but open to anywhere in the US.

Thanks, unfortunately Rhode Island and CUNY don't offer MSE. UVA had a Jan 15th deadline but haven't heard from them.

Have not heard back from any of the schools applied to in January. I know of a few California schools that have rolling or later application dates but was wondering if there are any on the east coast. Interested in MSE masters program.

Star, first congratulations! You asked about the rankings, UCSD #35, USC #39 in Materials. Maybe look at the cost to help you decide.

"What if the universe is trying to tell me something? Haha" It's probably hard not to overthink this based on your major but NO....think no pain - no gain. Think of the stories you'll be able to tell your grandchildren thirty years from now. Good luck this weekend and week ahead, here in the DC area they can't yet tell us if we are going to get rain, sleet, or 20 inches of snow on Monday. I'm an optimist, I'm preparing for snow-at least two feet!

These snowstorms have been so disruptive on the east coast this year. Fortunately they only seem to cause issues for a day or two at the most. If I were you I would keep your original flight plans, if the snow does cause cancellation of your interview it will most likely cause your flight home to be delayed/cancelled as well....hopefully the school will be able to fit you in during the time the airline is finally able to rebook you, it takes them days to recover and get everyone rebooked. Watch the weather reports and be sure to pack a hat, gloves, boots and your warmest coat! Be prepared for an extended stay.
