  1. Not sure if this is correct forum, but anyway... Well, I'm not technically accepted, but waitlisted. Just asking in case I am accepted. When I apply to University of Washington I'm supposed to provide a list of classes I took, as well as classes I planned to take that is related in the field. So I provided 3 classes that I will take in the next 2 semester (school on 3 semester system), 1 on the semester that I just finished, and 2 on the next one. All the classes are advanced classes in the field, but none are required for the major. I did took that 1 classes. It's a professor that I had never have classes before with, due to freak coincident I guess... Anyway, my experience was horrible. I dislike that professor so, so much. I got an A, but that was despite the teaching, not because of it, because I got confused by everything, and have to struggle through by asking for help on Stackexchange and reading books on my own. So I was planning to not take the next 2 classes, since it's taught by that professor too. If I do not take these 2, then I am able to take 2 other classes which are marginally related to the field with the same time slot. But I am worried. Since I'm not accepted yet but on wait list, I do not even know what their offer would condition on if I do. Obviously, I'm still graduating with the correct major. But if I got accepted condition on me taking the required course, it might be revoked. Any ideas?
  2. Hi all. First post here. Well, I applied for Northwestern maths, and have not heard anything from them. From the result page, apparently they already sent out some acceptance and some rejection. Want to shoot them an email to ask, but 1 problem: they listed no contact emails which they said to send to. In fact, checking on US News show that they have a specific contact email for grad app, but can't find that on their official website. So I'm not sure who to send to. There are faculty list on the website with the email, but I don't want to annoy them and end up with a rejection by emailing all of them. Maybe I could try the US News' email, but it looks slightly wrong: some letters after the @ are capitalized, but the faculties' emails they are not capitalized. Any advices?
