  1. hello fellow applicants!!! I have an interesting idea that I am working on and would like to get your feedback! I leave wednesday for my 1st interview and I know I will be asked about my research endeavors. I have co-authored a few publications. In order to make sure I come across intelligent and because I am visual learner, I thought to making a ppt of my work. So, when asked I can pull out my ppt slides and walk through my work. What do yall think?
  2. Hello all My 1st interview is next week at Penn State. Can anyone help me ease my nervous. How was the interview process? what type of questions were asked (either in PennState or any other interview).
  3. Hey, I applied to UAB and UVA also. Which programs received your spectacular application? I applied to 16 schools total.
  4. Yes, I finished 3 years ago. The answer I got was that the offical scores are to verify what you have listed in the app to what is actually true, which is completed before you recieve a formal offer. The best advice I can give you is to call them. They won't be back till January. I work in a university and I don't go back till Monday. No need to worry about it now right? just make sure you know what went wrong when you call them so that you can explain everything properly. I wish you all the best! You have great interview invites, don't worry too much on 1 school.
  5. In my experience, if you listed the scores in your app and then sent out your scores. The offical scores are to verifty AFTER the application has been succssful. All the schools I talked to said the same thing. The only thing about Penn was that they were steadfast about having my offical transcripts, all the other schools told me to save my money until I get an interview. You should call them to make sure. but in my expiernce you should be fine.. (minus Penn) all of my schools have my status as incomplete.
  6. Update: I called Washington University in St. Louis for the PhD in Immunology program. I was told that all decisions will be sent out in the next few days (hopefully by the end of the week).
  7. Has anyone heard about Georgia Tech's Biomedical Engineering division?
  8. In regards to UVA - which progam are you applying for? I haven't heard UVA's decision and they aren't answering their phone. I applied to the Immunology program.
  9. Hi, yes I think so. I called the slacker institute and they said that all interview invites have been sent. Btw, I wanted to apply to UofChicago bc I have been following Dr. Jabri's work for the last three years. I applied to 16 schools and afterwords I knew I forgot 1 of them and then after the deadline I remembered UofChicago. I hope you get an interview!!
  10. I wanted to add this to the information I have listed above ^^ but couldn't. Update: UT-Southwestern - PhD Immunology (Biomedical Science Group) - The committee is still reviewing applications and will not announce their decisions until late January/early February
  11. Update: Thomas Jefferson University - PhD Immunology - Interview decisions haven't been made yet, expect 1-2 week wait Penn State - PhD Immunology - interview invites are being sent out this morning NYU Slacker - PhD Immunology - ALL Interview invites have been sent out
