    Germany PhD

Does anyone have insight on PhD programs in Germany? Are they typically 3 years like UK programs or longer like American ones? Are there any programs that are primarily in English?
  5. Just got rejected from Princeton U. Sucks.
  6. Maybe. But it looks like in past years acceptances were made before rejections. Last year, acceptances were made Feb 24 and rejections March 2.
  7. The fate of Harvard applicants will likely be determined on Feb 13. Look at the event scheduled for that day: http://studyofreligion.fas.harvard.edu/calendars
  8. Has anyone heard anything from Princeton U?
  9. David Holland at Harvard would be a great person to work with. I think Utah State University has some Ph.D students doing Mormon stuff too.
  10. Thanks for the info. Is German for Reading graded like other classes or is it pass/fail?
  11. Hey, does anybody know about German for Reading courses at YDS? Apparently they aren't considered elective courses. Do students take them alongside a full course load? Do they pay extra tuition to enroll in them? I really need to some German reading skills to prep me for Ph.D studies. "The courses French for Reading and German for Reading are not eligible for elective credit." http://www.yale.edu/printer/bulletin/htmlfiles/div/other-curricular-considerations.html
