  1. I am not applying for the second deadline, but you should expect the admission decision to be announced roughly 2 months after the deadline for applications, at least judging from when I got my admission decision in the first round this year.
  2. Congratulations to both of you. I just received an e-mail today stating that the rejection e-mail I received was indeed a mistake. I guess they forgot to take some ESOP awardees from the mailing list or something.
  3. Weirdly enough, I got a generic rejection e-mail although I have already been awarded the Excellence Scholarship, have received the official decision at home and have accepted the award about 3 weeks ago. I am waiting for clarification, this left me slightly worried.
  4. A quick update: I just received a conditional offer of admission to the MSc in Mathematics and Foundations of Computer Science. Now I am faced with a really hard decision, but I am probably going to reject it and opt for ETH Zurich instead.
  5. I was contacted today by the rectorate of ETH Zurich. They told me that they have mailed the official scholarship decision to my home address.
  6. Hey, just as a reference, there is a thread about the 2015 ESOP:
  7. I do not know how they process the ESOP e-mails, but I did receive mine directly from the Head of Student Services.
  8. Hey guys, I got an e-mail from ETH telling me that I was awarded an Excellence Scholarship
  9. That would be fun, but I would prefer an earlier decision date than that
  10. Last year the decisions came out on a Wednesday. It's a shaky prevision
  11. No news for me, at least... I'm guessing we're getting the results on Wednesday.
  12. I had my interview today. It lasted for a little more than 20 minutes and I think that it went well Also, thank you for your post, it was really informative! Do you have any idea of how long they take to make a decision after the interviews?
  13. I see we're all pretty anxious! I actually did some research on quantum computation last year and found it to be really interesting (from a theoretical computer science perspective, obviously ). Although my pre-proposal has nothing "quantum" on it, quantum computation is deeply related to my interests (Cryptography and Computational Complexity), so it's always nice to meet people who also study things related to quantum computation!
