  1. Has anyone heard back about receiving an appeal for scholarships? I just got an increase in funding to $9000. It's not much, but any little bit helps
  2. I have decided to commit to NYU and have declined the other schools that accepted me.
  3. I just got a status update on the NYU Albert page, with a scholarship of $8,000 and work study of $3,000. I haven't received any emails yet about looking over my appeal, or getting an email about my financial aid status, so I'm trusting that Brendon is right and that we'll hear back about appeals this week.
  4. Yeah don't lose hope! I also applied mid December, so it took quite a bit of time to get the turn around as well! Good luck!
  5. Yup- it says submitted but pending interview just under it.
  6. Just received a request for an interview! Clinical concentration.
  7. Hi! Looking through my email, it looks like I sent the message to general admissions (gssadmission@fordham.edu)
  8. Congrats Opt! I did ask for an extension from Fordham and they gave me an additional month. They're very nice about it, so I wouldn't hesitate if I were you. Worst thing they can do is say no, but given how helpful they've been, I'm sure they will.
  9. Received my financial aid info... unfortunately isn't nearly enough to make me consider attending. I received a "general" scholarship, but no work-study. I've submitted my FAFSA, so I'm not sure if that is what affects the amount I would receive for work-study?
  10. Thank you so much! I just sent them an email, so hopefully they'll respond soon!
  11. I submitted mine on 12/18 and it still says "submitted."
  12. Hey Brendon, Did you just send an email to the financial aid department, or is there an appeal form that I could fill out?
  13. I've all but locked down NYU. I'm still waiting on Columbia's financial aid package, and whether Hunter might give me an interview, but since I'll be living with relatives and NYU's financial aid package compared to Fordham's and Yeshiva's, it's a better program fit for me and was my first choice. The tuition still is pretty hefty, but I'm hoping that I'll get some work study and apply to more scholarships to help the costs.
