  1. Accepted UChicago finally! Really appreciate all the support from this site! I am super excited and have to find out a way to concentrate finalizing my master thesis now!
  2. My suggestion would be to go to find their articles and weight out who they are in dialogue with. If you think your interests are covered, then try to reach out them. This is pretty new area echoing the alleged ontological turn, thus they will be happy to know people are attracted by multi-species projects.
  3. A certain portion of labor should be put on basic statistics, which consists of the hardest of Q. Most of other tasks are just comparing numbers in various ways.
  4. For whom committed in America-based anthropology, the Sloan Centers on Everyday Ethnography are definitely important to check: http://www.sloan.org/major-program-areas/recently-completed-programs/workplace-workforce-and-working-families/the-sloan-centers-on-working-families/. I know that they affiliate with distinguished programs like UMichigan and UCLA and offer certain quota for students studying America-based anthropology to pursue PhD in these institutions. One of my favorite and most creative professor earned his PhD in Michigan by virtue of the Sloan Foundation. America is a highly-productive site for anthropologists
  5. Anna Tsing in USCS and her mushroom group http://www.ic.ucsc.edu/~atsing/matsutake/group.html, which includes Tim Choy in UCDavis, Miyako Inoue in Stanford and so on. Also Eduardo Kohn, who authors How Forests Think. You can definitely find many related authors in the literature review of this book.
  6. Thanks aaannnthroling. So glad to meet linguistic folks here! And given relatively mediocre gpa and gre, I guess fit especially surpasses other elements for linguistic anthropology.
  7. Get admitted from UChicago and UMich! After rejected by Indiana and UCSD. Such a proof for the significance of theoretical intimacy!
