Received rejection letter today.

It would appear that the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship is more competitive than the NSF GRFP. In 2015, 2000 NSF fellows were selected out of 16500 applicants (a 4:33 ratio) ( https://www.nsf.gov/news/news_summ.jsp?cntn_id=134647 ), while in the same year, 60 Ford Foundation fellowships were awarded with 408 persons receiving honorable mention. Assuming that the number of outright rejections exceeded 27 applicants, it would appear that the ratio of Ford fellows to applicants would be less than 4:33.

Yes, I got that email. I know for sure that Ohio State, the University of Iowa, and Clemson University accept GEM Associate fellows.

Pretty much the same situation here. 2 schools that I have been accepted to are still listed as "pending verification", although I did update their status to "Accepted With Funding". I can't even find a GEM representative listed to get in touch with.

Still unmatched.

Does anyone know what formula is used to calculate the GAANN (Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need) Fellowship stipend? Is it the same as financial aid (Cost of Attendance less Expected Family Contribution, as determined by FAFSA)?

It has been two weeks since I last posted, and my status remains "unmatched".

My employer member status is also still showing unmatched. In other news, today is the deadline to submit the thee applications to GEM member schools. Good luck to everyone!
