Hello, This was my second year applying, last year I was rejected from all the schools I applied to and this year I have been waitlisted at UofT. Other than MSWs and post degree BSWs I applied to Ryerson and UBC for their Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and was accepted to both schools. I would definitely recommend applying to this program next year since you would like to work with children, unfortunately there would be no work with geriatrics with this degree. All the best!

It's alright, I'm still waiting to hear back from some other schools and if all else fails I got accepted into another program as a backup. I hope you get off that wait list, I wouldn't stress about it too much

Hi, I applied to the clinical stream at U of Calgary. I graduated last May so I've been doing a lot of volunteering on the extended care unit of the hospital with the recreational therapist and I've also been volunteering at a family resource center that has a bunch of different programs for various needs, such as families with financial needs or mental health issues. I've also volunteered at my universities women's center and I've been doing teaching assistant work and research assistant work and took a couple extra classes first semester to increase my GPA. What about yourself?

Hello, I've applied to York's 2 year MSW, but I haven't heard anything from them or checked recently. I was rejected from York last year, it's always worth reapplying if it's what you really want.

I have a friend who was accepted to the 2 year MSW at U of T last year and he got his acceptance some time in March last year, but said he knows people who didn't get their acceptance til April and May

Well between St.Thomas and Lakehead St.Thomas is my first choice, but overall Toronto would be my first choice. Yeah the fact that Lakehead starts in the summer is what's throwing me off too

I would say St.Thomas is my first choice, and I've also applied to the two year MSW for Calgary, Toronto, and York. Which would be your first choice and where else did you apply?
