  1. Hi guys, i have a question I recently got accepted into Uni of Edinburgh (MSc Comparative Public Policy) and Uni of Manchester (MSc Democracy and Election). I am torn between these two because I have zero experience living in the UK. So, which one do you think would suit me better considering: 1. My bachelor major is International Relation, and my thesis focused on Democratic Institutionalization in Southeast Asia 2. I am applying for a funding in which university ranking is a factor, although to what extend I haven't the slightest idea. 3. Should I fall short in securing the funding, I intend to apply to other funding sources. 4. Right now I am partial to Manchester because democracy is something i really enjoy learning and researching. Thank you in advance for your input guys!
  2. Hi, Alejandro, thank you for your input. I did just that, and the admission department politely suggest that the typical GPA for the program is 3.67 and i would be better off applying to other universities. But that's okay I think, at least they were honest with me.
  3. Hi guys, my name is tom--as you would have guessed from my user name. I'm new here because i just recently finish my undergrads. So, i'm applying for Democracy and Comparative Politics in University College London for Autumn 2016. The programme require a 3.3 GPA for International student based in my country, Indonesia. The Problem is, my GPA is 3.28, so it's a near miss. But i have 3 research experiences, was the head of research and development in a national youth organization in my country, and i founded a university-wide study group in my field of study. So what do you guys think my chances would be? Is there anything i can do to increase it? Anyway, this thread may also serve as a platform for any other near-miss experience or consultation. Thank you so much guys!
