  1. Undergrad: large public state school Major: Applied Mathematics/ Statistics GPA: 3.3 -- had trouble my first few quarters and did pretty average on my lower division math coursework Major GPA: 3.6 / 3.8 GRE Scores (revised version): Q: 160V: 155AW: 4.0 Research Experience: None Programming: R, Python, Matlab, C++ Jobs: Tutored math/stats for approx. 4 years. Extracurricular & Volunteer: Very good and bountiful. I had many significant leadership positions. Though, I'm not sure if graduate admissions would care. Letters of Recommendation: 1 Math, 1 Stats, 1 Biology -- all good.Courses taken: 9 Stats upperdivs, 7 Math upperdivs (including 4 proof-based courses) Other courses: Taking 2 more stats grad classes this quarter. About me: My goal is to get into a PhD program in Statistics or Biostatistics to do research in health/sustainability/other environmental topics. Though, I am not sure if my GPA/scores are good enough, so I am also considering Masters programs. Applying to UCD, UCSB, & Carnegie Mellon. I am very open to going international and I'm considering University of Utrecht and ETH Zurich. Any other suggestions for (US/non-US) schools are welcome. Thank you for reading. Please be honest and constructive.
