Also, forgot to mention: I'm 95% sure I won't end up going to Columbia. Unless they offer a SIGNIFICANT merit scholarship (which I have heard they almost never do), I will choose Hunter. Or possibly NYU.

Hi Tnc, I had my application in on Oct. 9 (the deadline was Oct. 15). My undergraduate GPA was a 3.5 from NYU. I am a career changer, but have extensive volunteer work with at-risk youth. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Hello, I applied and was accepted into this program, but I haven't decided if I will go yet. I graduated with a B.A. in English from NYU with a GPA of 3.5. I've been working for 9 years in communications but have a lot of relevant volunteer experience. I'm waiting to hear back from Columbia and Hunter before I make my final decision. Good luck to all!

Hi Pavlovsdog, I am in a similar situation. I received a scholarship from NYU as well, but even with the discount the tuition is still SO high. I also applied to Columbia, haven't heard back yet, but from what I've heard anecdotally they do not give out scholarships as large and as often as NYU does. (90-100% of admitted NYU students get scholarships.) At the end of the day, I will choose the most cost-effective program as all three (Hunter, NYU, Columbia) are very good. I need to make a responsible financial decision, even though the NYU and Columbia names are very seductive! Best of luck to all!

UPDATE! My application status at Hunter changed to "PENDING INTERVIEW"!!

I hope so too! I was accepted to NYU last week, but I am really hoping for the chance to consider Hunter. I also applied to Columbia, but I think it will end up being way too expensive to seriously consider. Did anyone else on this thread apply and/or hear from other programs?

@dreamwithguts - today it changed from incomplete to complete. I think it does that when someone manually looks at your application. Fingers crossed!

Hi! I am also an applicant to the Spring 2016 MSW program at Silberman. I a little concerned because although the dashboard shows my application status as "SUBMITTED," it also says that my application is "incomplete." Has anyone else experienced this with Hunter's application portal?
