  1. Has anyone gotten word on housing yet?
  2. I was accepted off UPenn's wait list on Friday and turned down the offer yesterday morning. Good luck!!
  3. Hey all! I finally (much to my surprise) got off the waitlist at both Princeton and Penn this week. I've accepted Princeton's offer and declined Penn's; best of luck to those waitlisted at Penn!
  4. Ah, good--I was just thinking about starting this thread yesterday, so thanks for getting it going! I've been accepted to Oxford's MPhil program in Greek and/or Latin Languages and Literature, haven't yet heard from Brown (does anyone happen to know what's going on with that?), and am on the waiting list for Penn and Princeton. I second this--I'd love to know whether I can keep dreaming about getting off either wait list
  5. That'd be me again. At least it was a nice personal email.
  6. (finally de-lurking: salvete, omnes!) I'm the one with the Berkeley interview. I got the email from Kathleen McCarthy only a few hours after finding out that I had been waitlisted at Penn yesterday evening--this whole week has been one big roller coaster of anxiety. I also thought Berkeley didn't interview, so I have no idea what to make of it. I hope it's a good thing? I have, naturally, been micro-analyzing the email/entire situation, but who knows? Maybe my SoP didn't give them enough of a read on my personality? Maybe they had a lot of competitive applicants and decided they needed to do interviews this year? Oof, I thought everything would be much less stressful after all my apps were in, but this waiting game is grueling. Also, congrats to those who got into UChicago! I'm currently an undergrad there and love it, so hit me up if you have any questions about the department/campus/Hyde Park/&c.
  7. I got an email from the DGS saying that the AdCom was very interested in my application and that they wanted to have a conversation with me over Skype. She said that the two professors with whom the interview will be held would contact me within the next few days, and that I should let her know if I had any questions. My question is: do I respond to the DGS's email, or do I wait for one of the professors to contact me and respond to him? Sorry for such a minor question--I'm just feeling super nervous about all of this!
