  1. Does anyone know how reputable York University is for Teacher's University? I'm planning to go to York for I/S in Mathematics and Physics.
  2. Well, I called them today and they told me to wait because they might be still deciding. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering Degree with a cgpa of 3.3. I applied to the I/S concentration with Physics and Math as my two teachables. I've also been volunteering at a high school for the past year for about 17 hours a week. I'm also part of a literacy program, and a part time physics/math tutor as well. The funny thing is that originally i applied for Math/ Physics, but had that changed to J/I for Math. Then, I requested to keep the I/S division that I originally applied for because i didn't know you could apply to more than one concentration for OISE applicants. None of these changes show up on UofT's SGS website, so there's actually no way I could confirm they have been changed. I've been accepted to the J/I program, but that I/S program is actually the one that I wanted. Although I did get into York for I/S, so I might go there if I don't get into UofT.
  3. So since I can only see the J/I in ROSI under registration, is there a possibility that they are still looking at applications for the second round? I just don't want to lose hope lol
  4. On ROSI, it says I have been invited to the J/I division. I didn't get an invitation for I/S, so does that mean I'm not accepted in I/S? Or are they still reviewing applications?
  5. I'm just wondering how competitive will OISE's MT program for the I/S level with Physics as the first teachable and Mathematics as the second teachable
  6. Does anyone know how competitive it is for the MT program at OISE this year for teachable subjects in Math and Physics ?
  7. Hi Everyone, I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University, and I am very passionate in becoming a teacher. I think I would be a really good fit in OISE's MT program, and I would like a chance to prove that. I plan to apply to the Intermediate / Senior MT program with two teachable subjects in Mathematics and Physics. I fulfilled the requirement of completing 6 courses for Mathematics and at least 5 Physics courses during my undergrad studies. The GPA for my final year is 3.22 / 4.33, and I have also converted each course grade to the UofT equivalent which brings me to a final year average of about 3.2/4.0. By the end of December, I will have completed around 250 - 300 hours working with students and tutoring students in the Computer Engineering and Tech department at a High School that I attended in the past. I also wrote a Grade 11 Curriculum for Computer Engineering document, and a literacy in technology document to help prepare students for the OSSLT was also written by me and handed to the teacher I work under. I have also worked with kids under the age of 11, tutoring these students in English and Math. I realize that the MT program is very competitive, however I have been told that not many applicants apply to both mathematics and physics. So, I was just wondering what are my chances getting into OISE's MT program?
