  1. For the people that are applying to programs that require essays, how many long are you writing these essays? No length required was included on the application but I'm just curious to know what others think is considered an appropriate length. Btw I have to answer 3 detailed questions and I don't want to be too short or too long in my answer. Thanks, newgrad819,
  2. Because that's what they require, 3 letters from professors. Also for us less competitive students we need all the help we can get. BTW NYU Tandon doesn't even have a masters-slp program
  3. Im looking for schools that require only 2 recommendation letters, so far I only have 2 strong letters. I know most schools require 3 but Im having the hardest time finding a reliable 3rd LOR. In addition, my department had a huge turnover rate and that meant losing 3 professors. If you know of any schools please comment them below. TIA
  4. I think visiting a program is probably one of the smartest things you can do when applying, not only does it gives you a feel of the program but it helps put a face with the application. At least when deciding they can say they know who you are and its extra brownie points IMO. As far as money, If you really like this program I would say take a chance but If money is too much of an issue I would just hope for the best. Good luck
  5. @SLPinNeedofDegree I think both are great programs but it seems as if Appalachian is the program everyone is interested for the spring cohort and it is also ranker much higher than A&M. I would consider both a blessing but it seems if Appalachian is better
  6. Hey Everyone I'm new to grad cafe. Did anyone by any chance apply to Truman State. I see really don't see a lot of info about their school on here and ASHA doesn't post their stats, which make me a little worried about their program.
