  1. Does anybody know how long it takes for SOPHAS to process the official transcript to show up as "received" on the program status page? I had requested transcripts and they were sent about 2 weeks ago (on the 18th) to SOPHAS and 2 other schools. It looks like the other schools received them but on SOPHAS it still says not received. Should I be concerned? The deadline is March 15th, so I still have about a month and a half left but it just worries me so much...
  2. Thank you! Its just that he hasn't responded to anything ever since we met and he agreed to doing the letter. The department he's in has mentioned that he generally doesn't respond to emails...which is supposed to be reassuring I guess? Hopefully he remembered and comes through..I even slid a note under his office door.
  3. Yep. I emailed the 2 departments of the schools. They both said it's fine for the letters to come in a little after the deadline as long as I submit my part on time. I even went by his office today but he wasn't there. I left a handwritten note and slid it under his door....so I'm hoping and hoping that he at least saw that. I guess I'll just have to see what happens tomorrow...and since it's the weekend if he doesn't submit tomorrow I'll have to track him down on Monday..All this is just so stressful
  4. I had asked a professor for a LOR, which he said he would, about a month and half ago. Now, it's the day before the deadline and still nothing. I have emailed him a couple of times but he has not responded to any of the emails either. I called, and he didn't answer the phone so I just ended up leaving a message. What do I do? It's too late to find a backup writer... It'd be helpful if he at least replied to my emails..but nothing..
  5. I go to the University of VA and have a 3.24 GPA with 157 V 158 Q, and 4.0 on my GRE. I want to apply to graduate schools for a masters in biostatistics, but am worried that my GPA is too low.. I'm applying to George Washington University (both MS and MPH biostatistics), Georgetown Univ, and VCU. I couldn't really find much information about their admitted students stats so am starting to really get anxious. Could I get some feedback?
  6. Some of my schools have deadlines of Feb 15th and March 15th for admission in Fall 2016. Would it be okay for me to retake my GREs near Jan 13th when applying to those schools? I already took them once and got 157 V, 158 Q, and 4.0. I'm worried this isn't good enough to MS programs for Biostatistics, so I want to retake them, but I don't know if mid-Jan is too late?
