Right time to start the program-specific threads this year......?

Hi everyone, I am starting my PhD this fall. I have got a number of offers but haven't visited any yet. I would like to look into schools early, though. To find out about the placement statistics, I have to go to the group websites and check where the alumni ended up. Most programs do not post such information. Recently a friend of mine tells me about a website called phds.org, which provides nice placement statistics like (see the "outcomes"): http://www.phds.org/university/wisc/program/ranking/chemistry/3771 I really wonder how reliable this website is. Where are these data come from?

Hi guys, anyone knows the date(s) of the visitation weekend(s) of MIT this year? I only saw March 27 on their website. Is this the only date? I assume it's a silent rejection for me, but since I'm scheduling my other visits, I would like to know that in advance anyway.

I received a phone call from Princeton's director of grad studies today......asked about my research and something personal (I'm a foreigner studying in US). He says that they're releasing the results very soon. A top school has just accepted me so probably I'm going to withdraw from Pton. Good luck to everyone who applies.
