  1. As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position. Evolution of technology has given way to advanced and modern lifestyle on one hand, and growing lethargic attitude of people on the other hand. A surge in technology has made us laidback and more dependent over time. Human brains have become so accustomed to the sci-fi lifestyle, that seed of imagination and creativity has got somewhere lost. Is technology a boon or a bane, is one question that everyone is well versed with. Given that, every individual has his or her own interpretation to this question. Today's generation is so caught up with their phones and tablets, they hardly spare some time to delve into creative thinking. Nonetheless, the automated cars, e-portals, and other consumer friendly devices have made our lives a lot easier than it was few decades ago. But if the cost to the easy and flexible lifestyle is in terms of your giving away of thinking and creativity, is it warranted? Moreover, growing dependence on the technologically advanced device not only kill the ability to think creatively but also severely affect the retention power of the brain. Just to say, the contact list on mobile phones have surely proved to be of great help, but it has taken away the potential of an individual to memorize the contacts, unlike, a decade ago. School and elementary education is the foundation to the development of a child. Although in some aspects technology has proved to be handy and assistive like, in the case of e-learning, but largely it has hindered the growth of a child on creative fronts. For an instance, an article or essay given in homework can easily be taken down from the pool of websites on Internet. Here the child loses his or her ability to think critically or analytically. Having mentioned the various setbacks of the technology, one cannot agree less that technology has made our lives better. It is imperative to realize the pitfalls of technology and not become a bait of the comfort and luxury.
