  2. Congrats @cannedheat ! That's awesome. It's also great that your advisor is going to bat for you with UGA. Hopefully she will have some sway. It's hard to say about visit days, but I think if there is even a slight chance that you might attend, you should give it a chance if you are available. You won't be left wondering "what if". Visit days were essential to MA program decision. I can't wait to attend my first one next weekend!
  3. Hahaha, what kind of person trolls a graduate program results page? That's my entertainment for the night. PS, awesome GIF @the_queer_ecologist
  4. That's awesome! Congratulations!! I just got word that I've been accepted to Iowa as well. I thought applying and waiting was tough...decision-making is going to be so hard!
  5. Thanks PhD:2016. I received an email from my POI and it looks like there were only two of us that posted in the results, so I'm sure you'll hear soon, but I wouldn't be worried about it. No official letter yet. Madison is definitely one of my top choices. Congrats to everyone hearing things back. Seems like a lot of us are starting to get some answers.
  6. Turns out I was l wasn't as underwhelming as I thought I was. My first acceptance and it comes with full funding! o_0 I keep refreshing my email to see if it was a mistake. Crossing my fingers that you all get some good news soon too!
  7. Congrats on two interviews! That must be a good sign. My interview went okay-ish. I really did not know what to expect, so I think I was a little underwhelming. We will see. I'm not sure how different the tracks are with notifications and interviews, but hopefully I'll get some news this week too.
  8. @PhD:2016 I had an interview with my POI mid-January but I haven't heard anything since then. That was with the Communication Science track. Which track did you apply for?
  9. I've applied to Communication PhD programs at Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, and UC Davis. Fingers crossed for a future for all of us! Congrats comm2016!
  10. @Gradswag Penn State is awesome! Congrats. That must be such a relief! I'm mentally in the Plan B stage but still hopeful. I'm not sure how my UW interview went. The questions were very direct, which was surprising. I think we jived-ish. I didn't know it was so competitive. I found this website after the interview...and now I see just how tough it is to get into some programs. I just got an email about an Iowa interview which I am very excited about...time to study up on some CVs and articles! @comm2016 congrats! Cornell's Comm program is highly ranked and a very strong program depending on your research interests.
  11. Hi All! I've been lurking without posting for a while now, so I can chime in on this. I can confirm interviews with the UW Mad Comm Arts Comm Science track. I had an interview with my POI early last week. No word yet! Honestly, I didn't know that interviews were a thing. I was under-prepared for the interview. When I applied to MA programs there was not an interview, just an acceptance email. *sigh*
