  1. Hi Dreamliner! That is my projected graduation year. :-) i am enrolled in their two year program.
  2. Is anyone else besides me and Joy418 going to CWRU? :-)
  3. That's a great question, ljo377! I definitely am on the same page re: an open mind for potential career paths. I am very interested in early years child psychotherapy, but I am also naturally drawn to healthcare and grief counselling (children's hospice comes to mind). I am looking forward to going back to school and being an a learning environment! I am very much excited to become involved in community programmes and take courses in social justice. Finally, I am happy to be obtaining a professional registration (license) which offers me the flexibility of working in so many different types of jobs all across the world. I look forward to seeing what other people share. xx
  4. Hello UrbanMidwest, If being compensated for your work while undertaking your masters is important to you, have you considered being sponsored by your employer? Case Western offers the masters as an intensive weekend: http://socialwork.case.edu/academic/masters/intensive-weekend/ I am sure other schools do something similar. xx
  5. Hi all! I am going to CWRU this fall, specialising in mental health. :-) I visited campus earlier this year and had some great conversations with staff and students. The Cleveland area felt really comfortable and familiar to me. We are excited to move there later this year! I hope to get to know some of my future classmates in the meantime.
  6. Hello Fattemo, Many of the active users of this forum are applying to social work schools so wouldn't necessarily know the answer to your question. Historically, there have been changes in the content and style of social work training, as it naturally modernises. I believe a good portion of the content is mostly fixed by the accreditation requirements on the programme. You may want to ask your question to other professional organisations or groups, such as CSWE or deans of social work. good luck!
