  1. [quote name='s1u8n' timestamp='1280688378' post='157557' what do they mean when axess says a class is 3-4 units? is it 3 or 4 units? That will have major implications on my tuition costs.
  2. ok... I only saw the explorecourses web page... do you know if we are allowed to take clases of the 300 level like CEE 385?
  3. I planning on doing that... but the official calendar for the 2010-2011 class has not been uploaded yet... :S would it be similar than the previous one? I will arrive on august 1st…
  4. you can look up in the CUREE webpage also... http://www.curee.org/organization/members/index.html there is a complete list of associate universities. The best schools for EE would be UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC San Diego, UCLA, USC, UC Davis, CalTech... What kind of graduate degree are you looking for?
  5. Thanks for your tips... We finally decided that we will live in Berkeley its better that she is closer to her university and I will commute every day... It is too horrible the traffic trough the bay bridge and then to the Interstate 280? Well I will be a couple of months in advance to check it out...
  6. One of the items of the new student check list is: "July 31: Deadline to submit entrance medical requirements" with a link to the Vaden Health Center... There one must complete your online entrance medical requirements forms... The Stanford ID Card must be sent before September 1st (the photo and basic info)...but the link of the check list is wrong... use this one https://itservices.stanford.edu/sites/default/files/2010/04/12/signup_form.pdf
  7. No, I have not filled up the student ID Card yet... I'm planning to stay off campus... somewhere near Oakland or SF... I need to be near Berkeley since my wife will start her PhD there... so I have to commute to Stanford guess I must download some thousands podcasts for all the hours of commuting
  8. If you have the Student ID number (and I guess you have it in order to have accepted the offer) you are ready. The package only contains: the formal letter of acceptance (I guess that they sent you a pdf version trough email), a small brochure of Stanford University CEE department and another letter with the Student ID number and some directions. I found more useful the directions of the Admitted Students webpage http://studentaffairs.stanford.edu/gradadmissions/admitted Do you have funding from Stanford? I tip for every one... star filling up the health forms... it has tons of information to recolect... best!
  9. I am from Chile and the mail took 15 days to arrive. I saw the important date at this web site http://studentaffairs.stanford.edu/gradadmissions/admitted/checklist Also for us international applicant take a look at the Bechtel international Center http://icenter.stanford.edu/students/new/orientation.html
  10. thanks thefish... congrats to you also... see you at Stanford!...

  11. Great s1u8n! Besides the SUNetID + Acceptance, what other stuff from the AXESS site is needed to be fulfilled? For international admits: do you know what are the steps involved to get the VISA? Should we send the I-20 filled up, a copy of the passport and the paperwork regarding the funding?
  12. Good idea... I am an international applicant also... but I will live near Berkeley so I will have the fun and joy to commute to Stanford every day :S... But it is better than living in San Diego and traveling to SF the weekends. @s1u8n, we need to start a Stanford CEE 2010 thread
  13. Congrats Richinsane! See you at Stanford in the Fall!

  14. I received my financial aid response last weekend (April 3rd)... Almost all set for Stanford
