  1. I got my rejection a week ago. So maybe you're one of their final candidates!! I hope you get in it's a really beautiful campus.

Hi! I was also considering UConn as a serious option (though I haven't heard about funding yet...), but I also found this thread a little terrifying... I don't think I'll be able to afford a car either. I think I could survive if the surroundings are nice - is there any nice countryside to escape to?

I will not be arriving before the end of Augustb either I don't think. Let's keep in touch!

Great! I sent you a PM. Anyone else out there looking for something?? The more we are the cheaper it will be - and, from experience, it's also really fun to live with a bunch of different people
  5. I had an interview, but haven't heard anything yet either. Rejection?
  6. Nope! I'm still waiting as well. I'll let you know if I get any news, please do so too! It's getting late in the year... If I don't hear anything within the next week I think I'll e-mail them.

Hi! I'm also looking into housing in Eugene at the moment. I don't really want to live with a bunch of undergrads, so where should I go?? I'm looking into house sharing if anyone is interested. My funding is pretty low, though :s
  8. I got a rejection from WUSTL yesterday. So if you haven't heard yet, I'm guessing that's a pretty good sign!! I'm still waiting on ND, Connecticut and Emory, in case anyone has any info...
  9. If you don't mind me asking: which uni was it that you contacted?? I'm also still waiting for a few results, and it's horrible not knowing if it's an implied rejection or if they are still looking at the applications....
  10. Hi! I'm also in France. What's your backup? Did you find a decent comparative literature program here? Because I've been looking around for the past two years, but haven't seen anything quite like the programs American universities offer. Where are you studying right now? I actually got into two programs so far, but I'm not sure the funding is going to be enough. Which are the two schools you haven't heard from yet? Message me if you want to talk more!
  11. Hi! I got acceptances from Bloomington and Oregon so far. I don't think either are great with funding... How about you?
  12. Let's keep in touch about it - I'll let you know if I hear anything! It's also one of my top choices. I spent a year there as an exchange student, it was amazing. I'll really hoping something comes of my application this time. Where else are you applying?
  13. Had two acceptances so far - but no info on funding. Torn between the amazing feeling of actually having been accepted somewhere and the anxiety of not knowing if I'll actually be able to afford going to grad school. And still waiting on four other responses. Been binge watching Netflix and eating way, way too much chocolate these past days, instead of writing my Master's thesis, haha. But this forum is amazing, it's so great to read about everyone's stories! Good luck for the waiting, everyone!! At what point should I give up waiting to hear from my last universities???
  14. Yep, that's my fear as well. I got an interview with UPenn, but haven't heard anything back so far. Haven't heard ANYTHING from Emory, or from Washington. It's the worst when they just don't leave you in the dark. I wish they would inform us if they are not even considering us. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ND though! Are you wainting on any other universities??
