  1. I'm entering grad school this fall, and I love my happy planner! You can get it at Michaels or hobby lobby with a 40%off coupon every couple weeks. What I like most about it besides the price, is that the pages are removable and you can just pop them back in wherever you want them. They sell punches to fit the design of the holes so you can punch anything and place it in the planner, but watch some YouTube videos and see how you can do it yourself. It has a monthly view, and a weekly layout. I also use extra paper just for assignment lists each week, that I punch and insert myself. You really have to look up videos I'm not describing its functionality so well.
  2. Update- I got in! I got an email at 6pm offering me admissions to the full-time MPH-MSW joint degree program. I'm so relieved. No more refreshing pages and obsessively checking my email.
  3. Yes, I am from Chicago but it looks like this weekend we will see some spring! Still no word yet. I'm really going crazy. I called again today.... Spoke to a man today instead of the woman who answered the other times. He asked my name and set the phone down and found my application. He confirmed that I applied for the MSW/MPH program. He said that I would have an email by the end of the day (this was about noon). Then he asked me if I had any questions about the program and even forwarded me to the voicemail of the liaison of the dual program. The way he was talking to me about research opportunities and the program made me think my acceptance was right in front of him, he just couldn't say anything. Now it's 5pm and I have no email. Of course this would be a long weekend as well. Literally got my hopes skyrocketed and now I'm waiting again.

  5. So it looks like I can stop running to the mailbox when I get home from work. Now I can just continually refresh my email. thanks for letting us know!
  6. No . I'm getting worried now. Still debating on what I'm going to do if I don't get in. Take a year and apply to more programs, or go to DePaul and pay double the tuition. did they give you a date to accept by? I'm wondering if after a certain date they send out more admits after receiving decisions.
  7. My last LOR was submitted Jan 12th. Like I said tho, my submissions were not verified for a while. I'm getting scared. I'll be pretty bummed if I get rejected
  8. Email?! I'm so confused. Do you remember the date you applied? And congrats!!!
  9. Hear anything yet? A friend that applied a few days before me got a phone call accepting her today. I'm really hoping this week.
  10. Mine was the same way so I called and the woman verified my submissions while I was on the phone with her. I asked her if that's why it had taken so long but she said it had no impact on when they looked at it.

I know a couple people posted that they had heard from UIC that applied early. Has anyone else heard that applied later (January)? I called Friday and was told my application was still under review. I'm supposed to notify DePaul of my decision tomorrow. They haven't offered me any funding so I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to say no, regardless of UIC decision.
  12. I'm in the same boat... About 10 weeks. I have been creepy and searching #acceptanceletter and #accepted on Instagram and of course searching on here for people who have heard but I haven't seen anything from anyone. Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one waiting. But I do need to know soon. I thought about calling on Friday but I have already called twice because my submissions were not verified.
  13. finally called last week because one of my LOR were not verified. It was done by the time we got off the phone. My second choice (DePaul with no funding) extended my deadline until 3/28 but I'm worried I still won't hear from UIC by then. Is snail mail really how they send out acceptance letters? I've been refreshing the application status daily but looks like I need to be waiting for the mail lady.
  14. I applied in the middle of January and haven't heard anything yet. I received an acceptance from DePaul that I'm to reply to by March 14th. UIC is my top pick for the MSW/MPH program so I'm anxiously waiting for that email. My application has been "referred to the program" since I applied.
