  1. I just don't believe the Quant PowerPrep sections are representative of the real test; I find them substantially easier than what you actually see on test day.
  2. Is there anyone in the mid-advanced stages of their study and in the NYC area that would like to get together to study for the GRE? I have taken the exam twice and I'm right at the cusp of 160 in both areas. I'd like to prep and see if I can hit 163+ in both areas comfortably. I took Testmasters online and didn't really get much out of that. I opted for private tutoring and it was helpful too, but the virtual part made it tricky. I would love to do in person prep but have found that Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc have people in the course who are at the initial stages of their study, and thus probably would not be an effective use of my time since I'm targeting more advanced skills. Feel free to message me if you're interested.
  3. Took it again and got 154V and 157Q... Still nowhere near my powerprep scores! For those of you saying your second quant section was not that hard for you, what methods are you using to prep? I'm finding that the ETS books don't have the level of material equal to the actual test. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  4. Hi everyone, I've been monitoring this thread hoping and praying that today (my test date) I would be one of those who reported that Powerprep underestimated my score. I decided to post my results for others to evaluate. On day one of my studying, I took the Manhattan free practice exam. I received 155V 155Q. I've since studied by myself, used all of the Manhattan books, Barrons, among others. I hired a tutor and we did 20 hours of Quant lessons. I took power prep last week 4.5 months since commencing studying and my results were as follows: 160V, 159Q (Saturday, April 23, 2016) I studied, studied, reviewed my formulas and took PP2 154V, 163Q (Wednesday, April 27, 2016) Then today: A dismal 159 V, 152Q--- Worse than what I got before I started studying. I got a lot of concepts I wasn't familiar with. It wasn't anything like the PowerPrep versions. Good luck everyone! Make sure you don't take your PP scores for granted. The sum of my best in the two sections was 323. I got 311 on the real thing.
