  1. I saw in the results section that someone was accepted to the Rutger's social psych program. Was that anyone here?
  2. Psychology Critical Social/Personality - PhD program
  3. I received an email to check the status of my application for The Graduate Center (CUNY), and was officially rejected. I kind of figured as much, being that they waitlisted me and had 10 people come for interviews. Congrats to those who were accepted!
  4. No word from Columbia either. I emailed the program at CUNY and they told me I was waitlisted and that they were doing interviews on the 8th I believe. I haven't heard a peep since.
  5. Yes, most programs may only update the status of applications 1 - 2 times per week, so it really just depends on when you're looking.
  6. Hey everyone, I just heard back from NYU and they rejected me for the PhD program, but want me to enter the Masters Program :/ womp. I already have a masters in Liberal Studies, so this is tempting, but I also dont want to come out of pocket again and accumulate more debt :(.
  7. What's the status of your application? My application says "under review" when I went to this link: http://www.nyu.edu/gsas/request/smts.html. As as someone stated, interviews already took place. But I also know that others application statuses are showing up as "rejected". So idk if that has any meaning that ours does not yet...
  8. Thanks, I didn't apply to that program specifically though. I applied to NYU and there were a couple of submissions saying that they had an automated email saying to check their status on the website, and it gave them the generic "rejected" answer. whereas mine still says "submitted", and I didn't receive any emails.
  9. Do you all know if rejections are generally sent out at the same time? I've seen that people have posted that they didn't get in via email or via the programs website, but my status still says "submitted". I wonder if that could mean I'm waitlisted or still in the running, or perhaps that they haven't gotten to my application yet?
  10. Congratulations on the skype interview, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
  11. Thanks for the info. Who was your POI for Rutgers if you don't mind me asking?
  12. I'm not sure which program you are referencing with CUNY. But I applied to The Graduate Center (CUNY) - Critical Social/Personality Psychology program and I emailed to see the status of my application. I was told that they only invited 10 people for interviews on 2/8 and that I am on a waitlist and will be updated in mid-February (womp :/ ). Best of luck!
  13. Hey everyone, I've applied to the following social psychology phd programs with no communication: Columbia, NYU, The Graduate Center (CUNY), Rutgers - New Brunswick. Has anyone else applied to any of these institutions and if so were you contacted?
