  1. Congrats! I actually graduated from undergrad (History, Literature double major) from Pitt and now work there. Putnam is amazingly friendly and personable. PM me if you want any other info about the History Department (or English Department, the Children's Literature Certificate) or about living in Pittsburgh, housing, campus, etc!
  2. @YeshuaNgome Hi there! Your research sounds so, so compelling to me. I will PM you! Thank you for reaching out. I meet so few Congo specialists, so I have so many questions for you! Thanks for the well wishes.
  3. Congrats!
  4. Yes they do! And sure, would love to keep in touch.
  5. Hi! I'm new here. Somewhat working with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa, but my main focus is on memory, identity formation, and post-conflict resolution in Eastern Congo, which solidly places me in the realm of modern/ 20th century African history. I was wondering if you, or anyone else here, has heard back yet? I've only been unofficially accepted to OSU and interviewed by Emory. I'm not quite sure what the timeline is, but any info would be good! So happy to see there are other African historians out there!
