  1. I have and haven't heard back yet. My insider info is that they will be reaching out this week.
  2. Got off the waitlist pool today! So excited!
  3. Hey Vulpix, does these package arrive in different days. I haven't received mine. Does this mean I m probably not getting it?
  4. I met a current student at Columbia. He was quite happy with the program. He said being in NY, you can also secure internships year-long. One course which he particularly mentioned was about education in conflict regions. A professor has been working on it for long time and shared her research and possibility of doing so, in the classroom. It is a big program, undoubtedly. And it must have its flaws. But I loved the campus and the university if quite spread out. (I visited UPenn, NYU, Columbia and Stanford. Loved campuses of Stanford and Columbia.)
  5. Has anyone who has applied to M.A. International Development Program heard back yet?
  6. Admitted to IEPM too!!!
  7. Congratulations!! Time for celebrations...
  8. Actually, I applied to two programs. First one was EPS in Dec than I happened to visit UPenn in Jan and realised IDEP is more aligned to my career goals. I had already check-box IDEP in my December application as an additional program that I want to be considered. But they told me for actually getting considered for IDEP, I have to create a separate application. And so, I wrote another application and submitted in Feb sometime for which I received an email yesterday.
  9. Received it too. Which fellowship/scholarship did you apply to?
  10. Yeah...was in the theatre last night (day time est)....was checking emails anyway! Nothing seems to moving!
  11. Congratulations so much. I have also applied to UMich MA in Education Leadership Policy, but applied very close to deadline. When did you hear from them?
  12. There were around 20 students in the class and the course was about how society and world affects education. Prof. led the class with some big questions about different countries and the quality of higher education to K-12 in countries like Finland, Germany, Japan, India, Singapore and of course US. It was 2 hours class. He also spoke about Nationalism and how does that affect education systems. Students were well-read too. In between the Prof. and students discussed about various authors like Benedict Anderson (whose work I came across again lately by an Indian author Ramachandra Guha). So, it was kind of very stimulating and I walked out thinking a lot about the questions posed. I haven't attended classes in other Universities so I don't have anything to compare to but for me that kind of sealed the deal that what makes Stanford GSE awesome.
