  1. well hearing the words "you might have a chance" give me some hope... Although standardize testing is not my forte, I focused on my studies and did prove that college performances not correlate with college entrance exam. Well, hope I got in. Thanks
  2. Well, since I'm not really good at standardize testing (due to time constraint- overthinking too much) my GRE score: Q:152 V:145 W:3.0 (embarrassingly) I also did bad on my ACT exam, and this prove that I have no talent whatsoever in standardize testing (Hopefully I did better during my Master years) However I hope to start out applying for Master program (knowing that the requirement is not competitive and easier than PHD) (MEng no funding) to give me more experience in research. Hopefully with my other criteria (okay GPA score, TAing, experience with writing grants, dual degrees) outweight my GRE scores. Then again, I'm applying for Master here. The minimum requirements for GRE and GPA listed in the program emphasize toward PHD canidate so I might have a chance? Please let me know. Thank You
  3. Hi all, First all, thank you for taking your time helping me reviewing my profile knowing that it might not worth it. Please help/advice me on my possible path for graduate school. Undergraduate University: University of Nebraska-Lincoln Graduate School Submit: MASTER for now (knowing that I might not have a chance with PHD) Majors: BS in Biochemistry and Bachelor in Engineering for Biological System Engineering (Dual Matriculation) Years to Graduated: 4 years (extra 1 semester) GPA: 3.394 (due to overload my semester credits (stupidly did 21 credits a semester) and taking 2 degrees-- should not make excuse but thats my possible reasons) GRE: worst... (took alot of times but fail to achieve the minimum score for graduate schools listed) (proved that I'm not good at standardize testing--occurred just like the ACT I took) Experiences: more than 1 year laboratory health care setting, TA in one biology, TA in one 300 level course for Engineering, tutoring athletes 3 months (all of these were done in full-time college attended). Scientific literature readings aquire in courses. Wrote review paper for biochemistry course and NIH grant proposal for engineering course (not publish) Undergraduate Research: None LOR: all three from the engineering department (mostly academic results during taking the course), one of them is from the one I TA for Schools I applied for: TAMU biomedical engineering: Master of Engineering (1st choice) University of Houston biomedical engineering: Master of Science University of Minnesota Twin Cities biomedical engineering: Master of Science University of Washington Seattles biomedical engineering: Master of Science Again, thanks for taking your time evaluate my profile knowing that I might not be competitive. Thanks These all I have for right now
