  1. Hmm. I never got that email. I guess that means I'll be rejected. Oh well!
  2. Congratulations everyone!!! Great news <3
  3. Hey guys -- I contacted a U of T MPH (Health Promo/Social-Behavioural) program director and she said they have sent out the first round of offers, but that the second and final round will be sent in the first week of May. So don't give up hope! <3
  4. Congrats to everyone who got admitted!!
  5. WOW Congratulations! <3 I guess they are going to let us know earlier then! I am so happy for you! If you don't mind sharing, would you be willing to tell us a bit about your background, GPA, etc?
  6. LOL I take back that thing I said about it being unethical. I mean, a university is a business, right? so ethics probably doesn't come into it much. It's just "You going to give us your money? no? cool. Next please!" Never mind. Honestly as students, you gotta do what you gotta do.
  7. Hey other U of T hopefuls. I emailed the MPH department asking if I could hear a decision on my application before March 31, since I had a deadline to accept another offer + scholarship before that point. They told me THE FIRST ROUND OF U OF T MPH OFFERS WILL BE SENT OUT APRIL 30TH. So now we have a specific date. *nail-biting* No worries for me though - the school that gave me my other offer allowed me to have until May 15th to accept. If I don't hear from U of T by then, I'll just accept the backup and change my offer later (though I really don't want to do that because that seems so unethical...). Sending positive thoughts to everyone <3
  8. Mallory, you have a great attitude! I'm sure you'll do well and get into a good school, since clearly you are a hard worker and open to feedback. I hope that even with a rejection, the admissions committee has useful advice to offer me for next year, too. And thank you so much. Fingers crossed for us both!
  9. Same, I've graduated with a 3.3 cGPA but got a 3.8 in my last year. I have 2 years of volunteering/work experience in the non-profit public health sector and am hoping that it will help me get accepted. But yeah, U of T is super competitive. I doubt I have much of a chance so have a bunch of safeties and am already planning which programs to apply to next year haha. Try to remember not to take it personally, there are just SO many applicants.
  10. Hey guys Applied for the MPH (Health Promotion) at U of T. Didn't take the GRE. Cumulative GPA is terrible: 7.1/10 Final two years: 7.8/10 Final year: 8.4/10 My GPA is weak, so I hope that the fact that I have lots of volunteering (for which I will receive a provincial volunteer award)/extra-curriculars/work, a publication, and a graduate certificate in working with dementia clients will look good. Not sure if it will be able to make up for the GPA though. Application says "under review" already and now I'm freaking out and frantically refreshing the page lol. Hoping to get into this program so much but SO afraid to get my hopes up! Wishing everyone here the best and hope we all start getting some good news -- February/March are big acceptance months. <3
