  1. Just remembered, they also said we will need vulnerable sector police reference checks for our practicum in the fall. They said wait until after June to get it though, because some boards need one dated within the last six months.
  2. Oh yes!! They also said we will be able to meet everyone in our cohorts in June. Also they told us that for our practicums we get to pick which school board is our first preference. And we need to tell them which intersection we live closest to. For I/S they will try their best to give you two practicums in one teachable and two in your other subject! Lastly, they said check your inboxes regularly because they send important emails throughout the spring and summer.
  3. I was at the meet and greet yesterday! The UTS cohort sounds pretty interesting. I'm considering applying to it. The community volunteer aspect and summer camp opportunity caught my attention. I would like to know more though, does anyone have any other info or links on the cohort?
  4. Haha thank you. I totally did not intend that at all!!
  5. And "bragging" on this website gets me 0 benefit. You're not an employer or school assessing my application. Like I said, I was just wondering what was competitive for this program. Edit: And let's ignore that you did the exact same thing:
  6. This was my post. You don't know me personally and what I was able to balance. And I never indicated anything about my first two years. I was just curious about what makes applicants competitive. And I did not think it was purely GPA that makes an applicant stand out. But sorry my GPA offended you.
  7. I am not positive about this but I heard from the faculty at OISE that with the MT you will need fewer AQ courses than someone with their BEd to get to the A4 pay group.
  8. They emailed out invitations to the meet and greet taking place on March 23rd! To anyone who has not gotten a letter yet check for this email because it indicates if you have not received your letter it will arrive soon.
  9. It was quite short the letter, just basically says what your offer is for. There were a few pages included in the package. It comes with a sheet to scan or send back to accept the offer. This needs to be done within 3 weeks (6 if international) of the date on your letter. It also came with a form which says to mail back a tuition deposit of $300 by June 1st to hold your spot.
  10. My teachables are biology and social science! I wonder how they make the cohorts
  11. I went to an event this past fall hosted by some of the admissions team and they told us they are trying to roll out offers quicker than past years because they are always out of sync with the BEd programs at other schools
  12. You're in! You will be getting your letter eventually, just gotta hang tight. In my acceptance package it gave me a link to this: http://www.oise.utoronto.ca/ro/Graduate_Admissions/Newly_Admitted_Students/Satisfying_Conditions.html which says the same thing about your ROSI status
  13. On your ROSI when you log on in the front page if it says status: financially cancelled it means you got in but are still completing requirements (i.e you're still in fourth year) and if it says invited then it means you're in but have satisfied all requirements. When you click the tab that says subject posts it should list the program as active. To clarify: I do not mean your "account status" but rather under "registration" for fall 2017 and winter 2018, if the MT program is listed there it should have its own status that says "invited" or "financially cancelled"
  14. What about your ROSI? They update SGS manually long after letters have been sent out. I received my letter and my SGS still says under review. Did you happen to apply after November 15? I know they were aiming to have decisions out sooner so if you applied after this date that could explain the delay.
