I received a phone call from McMaster on Feb 19th for an offer of admission into their 1-year MSW program and today I received and off into Westerns 1-year MSW program. I will probably be accepting McMaster and declining Western, as Western didn't offer any funding! Hopefully I can give up my spot to one of you who is on the waitlist

I know! I also accepted that I got rejected.. I just want to know so I can stop holding on to hope ahah

hahahah I feel you. I just phoned the faculty and they said they will start sounding out the rest of this decisions this Thursday! Although she said since the school is closed Friday, there is a chance you might not hear back until early next week..

Hey! I did my undergrad at UofT. My gpa for my last two years was about 3.2 - I have about 4000 hours of experience as a youth worker in group homes/foster homes, PSW, support worker at community living, rehabilitation therapist, recreation therapist and most recently an addiction service worker! It appears that I have been watilisted for the 2-year program at UNBC. Has anyone had any experience with UNBC? Maybe you know when the acceptance deadline is, or how how fast the waitlist moves?? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Talked to someone at the Faculty of Social Work and she said it will take a few days to send out all the acceptances - but recommended that I email the faculty in case they have a more detailed response for me. I'll keep you posted!

I applied to the two-year clinical based MSW at Calgary and have no received any emails yet. Does anyone know if they send them out in stages or this is an indicator that I have no been accepted? If anyone can shed some light, it would be greatly appreciated..

Heads up for anyone else who applied to the two year MSW program at UNBC. I phoned admissions yesterday and they are planning on sending out decisions on March 15th! Good luck!

My lakehead acceptance didn't come until later April I believe, so you might have some waiting still. King's was definitely my top choice, but based on the small number of spots available in the program, I figured that even though I exceeded the minimum requirements by a lot, I probably still had a low chance. Nonetheless my spirits took a beating today and I'm feeling pretty frustrated and discouraged. Although , I'm grateful for this thread and the solidarity offered here.

I remained on the waitlist all summer and never got off. I missed the Windsor application this year by one day and they didn't accept my application unfortunately. Apparently they recieved double the applications compared to last year though..

I also applied to UNBC and Calgary for the 2-year program. I think my best shot is probably with UNBC. This is my second year applying. Last year I got waitlisted at Windsor and accepted to Lakehead's 1-year BSW post-grad program. I still have lakehead as a back up, but I still rather not have to apply for a 1-year MSW this coming fall ahha

This process is so soul crushing..

I emailed Western asking when we would hear back and the girl emailed me back and said that I was not accepted due to the non-academic portion of the application...Sucks because I have been working many jobs in the field for the past couple of years with over 4000 hours..

Is there a facebook group for the 1-year HBSW Lakehead program for 2017/2018? Also is anyone looking for a roommate!? A one bedroom apartment is not looking like it will fit into my budget..

I have been admitted, but have yet to receive my mail offer. I am unable to view the online offer as well.. If it weren't for you, then I would have potentially missed the deadline. What information does yours say? Do I just have to accept through OUAC? Thanks!

Does anyone know from passed experience how the Windsor waitlist works, for the 2 year program? I am currently on the waitlist for the 2 year program and am just wondering how likely it will be/ when I would know I would be off the waitlist. Any insight would be appreciated!
