  1. For McGill's MScPH there were 260 applicants for 38 spots for this academic year
  2. No worries! In application reviews, emphasis is usually placed on the letters of reference and your own statement of interest (From what I've heard from other people). I believe that as long as you have a genuine passion for PH it'll come through in your app
  3. I don't think so! They take people from all disciplines since PH is such a multidisciplinary field. You will definitely be able to draw knowledge from your undergrad in the future in PH! I'm coming from a natural sciences background too
  4. Oh that's strange, if the department has accepted you, that usually means you have the requirements (i.e. academics) to be entered into the school, but the Graduate School still needs to confirm it. I'd email them and check about the status
  5. @EdnaMode It means they'll have either 1) multiple waves of admissions or 2) continuous offers sent out depending on their responses (whether people accept or reject the offer VS their capacity). It would most likely be the former, so if people reject or accept their offer before their deadline, the remaining open spots would be sent out to the waitlisted/shortlisted individuals
  6. I'm not actually too sure, but I would refer to their online site to see! I'm sure if you search 'report' or like 'admission statistics' you'd find some numbers about it - sorry I couldn't be much help there. I would also say you have nothing to lose, except for the application fee and a bit of your tine, you should go for it!!!
  7. @heidiwind1 My sentiments exactly, LSHTP is amongst one of the most prestigious schools for public health. In a way, they are like the Emory of Public health. Emory is also amazing for its public health as it is connected with the CDC, but many people do not know much about it or have not heard about it because it is so niche. This effect is amplified with LSHTP. However, I can assure you that once you enter the PH field, everyone will know of the school and the prestige it holds in the profession.
  8. Just curious, what are people's backups for next year? Online courses? Work? Travel? etc Trying to help out a friend who's coming up with some backup plans
  9. Through email, they haven't updated the online app status yet
  10. Do you could ask her how much the deposit was? Thanks!
  11. I haven't yet, ahh I'm so lost in what to do cause I also applied for UofT's MPH
  12. Thanks for sharing @MPHsal !!
