  1. Has anyone applied to this program for Fall 2017? Anyone heard back in any form? (Interview, acceptance, rejection, waitlist, etc.)
  2. I didn't apply to Duke, so maybe I'm a bit biased myself. Their program didn't really excite me as much as the others. Dartmouth I like their emphasis on their alumni network and everyone seems to fall in love with the place when they go there. I think school should be more than just a degree, it should be your experience and the people you meet and future job prospects. All the students I know and have talked to like it a lot, their internship program sounds cool, and I like the small tight knit community. I found their webinars very useful. Since you have been accepted to USC, I was wondering why you're considering Duke/Dartmouth over USC? There isn't much information out there about MEM programs and I don't know a lot of people in this field, so I was wondering if you have any insights to share!
  3. Are these the only 2 schools you're considering, or have you received acceptances from other MEM programs? Based on your list, and other factors, I'd go with Dartmouth.
  4. Thanks, I still haven't heard from Columbia but deciding between Berkeley, USC, and Dartmouth at this point. I'm surprised there aren't more people on these forums in this major...more input would be nice
  5. Did you all receive your decisions via email, or has anyone's portal been updated? My portal still says submitted...
  6. I can see that at least 1 person has been admitted to Advanced Energy Technology for Fall 2017. That being said, not everyone has been getting their admissions the same day and they probably roll out some acceptances for the next week, which is the deadline to RSVP for the Visit Day. Otherwise, you might get rejected/waitlisted before then.
  7. I think you will definitely hear back this week. I was admitted into the MEng program and they have admit webinars starting this Friday, and more admit things after that. Also, in the student profiles, I do not see any registered students to EECS yet (mainly BioE, CE, and ME). Hope this helps/gives you hope!
  8. Thanks for the info. Any idea how many apply to M eng/how many are accepted?
  9. I am in a similar situation and feeling guilty as well. I think I am going to give my company 3-4 weeks notice just so they aren't stressed when I leave (small company). I've also been slowly training others in things I do and have been encouraging new hires in our department. That's how I combat the guilt...but I think it's normal. People leave jobs all the time and know several months in advance that they will. It's just the circle of life
  10. Did you receive any funding for Dartmouth MEM? Where do you want to work after graduation?
  11. Hi, I've been accepted to a few engineering management programs: USC MEM, UC Irvine MEM, Dartmouth MEM, and UCSB MTM (masters in technology management). I am still waiting on UC Berkeley MEng and Columbia MS&E. I was wondering if: 1) Has anyone in this forum been accepted to any of these programs? 2) Does anyone know which of these programs is best for future job prospects and worth the cost? There doesn't seem to be much information about MEM programs on forums (less applicants I'm guessing), so any information is appreciated!
  12. Do you have to receive an interview to get accepted into the program? Do acceptances/rejections come out at the same time for all the different departments in the Fung institute Masters of Engineering program?
