  1. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here has applied/been accepted to a PhD in international education policy without a master's degree? A little about me: Graduated from my school's honors college: 3.7 Completed an honors thesis Full-time research coordinator for 1+ year Hopefully, will have a publication or two by August Will have great letters of rec! Upcoming Fulbright grant (2017-2018) ESL tutor for 3 years Volunteer for a girls' school in Tanzania 4 years of undergraduate research Teaching assistant, worked/studied abroad, + other internships None of the programs I am interested in require a master's degree, but...... who knows! Thanks for your input
  2. Hi Dash, If you do decide to apply again, I can definitely look over your statements! I am by no means an expert but maybe I can provide some insight into at least the Czech Republic ETA program. Just let me know! Good luck with all your future endeavors ?
  3. ah that's cool! I really appreciate the suggestion. I am definitely more interested in the policy/practice side of things rather than management, but that's still good to know about. Thanks!
  4. Any ETA's thinking about going to grad school for International Education Policy? Just starting to look at programs...
  5. I remember that! I just put the numbers and not the letters. Weird about the different ID numbers though. I would shoot them an email to ask about the different IDs. It may also taking longer for a non commission countries? Or developing countries that would have less resources for health issues? Or the doctor reviewing your region is slow haha
  6. Idk why but mine took 6 business days. It did say it is completely normal for it to take 2-3 weeks though. What country are you going to?
  7. Medically cleared! I don't know why I was so worried about it, but this makes everything feel so much more real now! I should also hear about my school placement tomorrow. Still sending good vibes to everyone waiting to hear back! <3
  8. So I haven't gotten my placement yet (notified on Monday), but after talking with a current Czech ETA, it sounds like they already have placements for us, we just haven't heard yet. I'm assuming I'll hear soon because they ask the city of placement on a couple different forms that are due pretty quickly. Hope that helps!
  9. Thank you so much! Congrats to you as well! @Dash123 I am sorry to hear that I completely understand what you mean and I hope it is resolved either way (hopefully to finalist!!) in the near future. I will be sending you positive vibes!!! Please let us know what happens.
  10. ETA Finalist for Czech Republic here too! WOO! Just a heads up everyone - I received 2 emails! The first one was with the subject line "Congratulations On Your Fulbright U.S. Student Award" and the next one was "Fulbright Application Status (P)." Not sure if this is the norm, but I know people have been curious about subject lines. Good luck to everyone!! <3
  11. Haha yes, definitely normal. I haven't even thought about it because it would get my hopes up too high. But we will have plenty of time to learn what we need if we get it!
  12. Haha no I have not. Hopefully, we both will have a reason to soon! ?
  13. Czech Republic right? Me too. I don't know anything about the application process because this is my first time applying but I wanted to say I hope everything ends up okay with you and your family!
  14. I was just invited to a dinner for fellowship and scholarship recipients at the university's president's house.... If I don't get it, at least I can pretend for one night!
