I'm interested in the intersection of political theory and literature, and so for that, it's got some really good faculty. I'm not sure overall. Does anyone have a sense of the department overall?

I think there could be a few reasons for staggered acceptances, but, in the short term (when some decisions are released over several days), it's probably because different committees (i.e. the theory committee or IR committee) finish deliberating sooner than others.

Same. No application status update when I checked: https://appstatus.grad.ucla.edu/account/AppStatus.aspx Would expect more notices to go out tomorrow. Certain subfields might be done earlier than others.

Can anyone else whose applying to UT-Austin "now apply for on-campus housing" through the My Status portal? I don't remember if I was able to do that before...or if I should read into it?

@megabee, I have a few reach programs that I really love so even though I'm excited to start hearing back from some schools in the next few weeks, I feel like I'm going to be holding my breath for another six weeks or so to hear back.
