  1. yeah same for northwestern... but I also haven't been rejected. Do you think they send out multiple rounds of interview requests or just the one??
  2. ugh. Heard nothing. < / 3 I doubt they do more than one round of emails
  3. Has anyone heard from Northwestern???? not a peep
  4. The rejection letter was in my spam folder ! It's okay. I got into VSC but had to turn it down because I was flying to interviews. I'm going to London in the fall for Slade so I doubt I'd have the time or money to do Skowheagan. Guess I'll reapply after school ?
  5. Thank you ! While I do love the " conceptual " part. I pretty much only make paintings- so I think Slade might be a better fit. I can't imagine being a program where that isn't the main focus, or at least don't think it would be beneficial to me.
  6. Malden/Medford/Somerville/Chelsea would be great options too ! All on the train. Honestly everything on the east coast is so close- you could live in NH and only have an hour commute( pending rush hour which is AWFUL there )
  7. Thank you so much !! That's the vibe I was getting as well. Glad someone can confirm I live in the states so it's intimidating to try and research just through short visits/internet I might message you for tips on where to live or find an apartment if that's okay ....
  8. Hey everyone ! I was accepted to Slade and Goldsmiths. Slade has always been my favorite program -but can anyone give me insight between the two ?? ( for painting ) both are around the same cost. I have been to the campuses too so I'm really interested in hearing about experience of the actual program - thanks !!!
  9. Has anyone heard from SVA ? I already got into my favorite program ( whooo ! ) but I want to hear back from my other schools and they are taking forever .... my other interview isn't even until the 21st of march
  10. I didn't apply to any schools in Boston however I am from there and went to Massachusetts college of art and design. I had a lot of friends who did their undergrad program at BU. From what I saw visiting them it seems like a great program. They had big studios and a great lecture series. There are large gallery spaces for student shows there as well. BU itself is right in kenmore sq in the heart of Boston near Fenway and has a great campus. Boston has over 60 colleges so there is an endless amount of opportunities to explore museums and libraries- including all the amazing ones in Harvard. As for the art scene a lot of it gets sucked up by NYC but it's growing with the ICA, MFA, Mass Art and SMFA. Great little contemporary gallery district in SOWA ( south end in Boston ) on Harrison streeet. As well as alternative spaces. In terms of living- the city is 1/3 students so very active academically. If you are going to BU I suggest finding an apartment in Allston or Brighton. Both cheaper areas close to campus. If you get a two + bedroom you can live for cheapest 600/700 a person. Hope this helps !
  11. I've been quiet in this group till now and only reading. But I found out this weekend I was accepted to Slade !! Advice for moving to London or if anyone else got accepted and needs a roommate, much appreciated !
