I got accepted into the 3-year program!

I just got an email from CSUF to interview.... I have already received acceptance into CSUSB (And a ton of financial aid) and CSUSM. Kind of feel super late on the interview process. I am already admitted into CSUSB, its 20 minutes closer of a commute and they gave me an amazing financial aid package (Less loans for me!!!). I do not want to waste CSUF's time by going to the interview. Is it alright to kindly deny the interview and let them know I made my decision to go elsewhere?

Just got my email for acceptance into the full-time program at CSUSM. I actually received better financial aid from CSUSB where i have accepted attendance for their part-time program. Will be most likely declining CSUSM because I work full-time at the moment and don't think I could financially afford it. Applied: CSUF, CSUSM, CSUSB Accepted: CSUSB (March) and CSUSM (4/19/17)

That is awesome!! I got waitlisted but I wouldnt be able to attend fulltime anyways. good luck!!!

I just called and spoke with some lady at the extended learning campus and she refused to give me any information. I only applied to the part time program and when she said my application read as full-time, I let her know that I did not apply for full-time and she told me to email my academic adviser. That she could not give me any information and I had to speak with my academic adviser. I emailed the academic adviser and they are out of the office until April 11th. The last time i called 2 weeks ago the gentlemen put me on hold and when he came back he said my application was in faculty review.... I am just upset that they did not let anyone know, or call or have any explanations. I already got accepted into a different program but still, it is super frustrating! When I attended the orientation session for the MSW program at CSUSM, the gentleman leading it said that they only accept 30 students into the part-time program and it was a more difficult selection process.... Not sure how they could not find 30 good students to apply and why if they had even 20-25 that it could not still continue....

What..... is this?! I work full-time and only can afford to apply to part-time programs. I have been waiting like you for a response from San Marcos. I called 2 weeks ago and they said my application was in faculty review and I would know in a few weeks. I find that unacceptable and unprofessional. I wasted time and money applying to a school that is just going to cancel the program... they really could not find 30 applicants?!

Hey! I also got accepted into the CSUSB 3 year program. I spoke with Andy Copeland because I was waiting on 2 other schools (Still havent heard back) and he said to just reserve your spot and then if you decide to go somewhere else, just let them know later. He always is pretty short and kind of rude when I talk to him...

Hey! I heard back from CSUSB about 2 weeks ago. I got accepted into their 3-year program!

Hi there,first time posting but I thought I'd let some of you know who are anxiously waiting for answers.... I applied to the part-time 3 year MSW programs at CSUSB, CSUSM and CSUF. I have heard back from CSUSB and got in to their 3 year part time program. I received my acceptance letter from them on March 9th. I haven't heard anything back from CSUSM or CSUF. I called San Marcos today and they said my application is in Faculty Review and they could not give me a timeline as to when I would get it back. San Marcos is my top choice but I will love to go to CSU- San Bernardino! I did not realize the Fullerton part-time program was at the Irvine campus and that is way too far for me, so I don't really care much about the acceptance. They did say they interview all potential applicants and I have not received a phone call for an interview so I don't think I got in anyways. My Stats: GPA: 3.2 (Pretty much this average the entire time I was in school, I got an A- in abnormal Psych and my Advanced Seminar but really just got a lot of Bs) 200 hours with Big Brothers Big Sisters and 200 hours as an intern and Wish Granter with Make-a-Wish. 3 Letters of rec from an academic professor (English, A), and my supervisors from BBBS and Make-a-Wish. Personal Statement was super unique so that was my main hitter.
