  1. 1st year AUD UWO student here as well! :) I was waitlisted too and got the call mid-April. Including swrigh11 and myself, 4 people (or more!) from our class were waitlisted before getting accepted. I heard that the incoming Fall 2017 class has 28 MClSc students with 2 combined MClSc/PhD (those that found a supervisor for their PhD thesis). There are probably just as many people on the waitlist (in my year, there were 25 waitlisters for a class of 22!). This sounds scary, but the fact that they have so many people waitlisted suggests that the "turnover" rate can be high. People get accepted to other audiology programs, med school, etc. There are years where there's little/no movement on the waitlist and there are years when more waitlisted people get accepted. Fingers crossed that you'll get the acceptance call, but have a Plan B ready just in case! If you don't get accepted this year, what will you do? Travel? Volunteer? Get more clinical experience? Work in a clinic? There are endless possibilities that will enrich your experience and boost your chances if you apply again. Remember, it's not always about marks Your personality, experience, and beliefs are what can make you a good candidate for audiology (or anything in life, really)! Best of luck to you all!
