Hey everybody! So I was really involved in this thread last fall and this past spring during the hectic application and interview process.. and especially match day! And I know how crazy and overwhelming all of this can be. I was so excited to be accepted into a few programs and to find the perfect fit for me. I say all of this because this forum helped me so much in preparing and staying calm during a stressful time. So definitely utilize this during the process. Also feel free to utilize me if I can be of any help to any of you! I'm a first year student currently and would love to help answer any questions for those in the application process and be a resource for you! Well, I've officially accepted at the University of Maryland! So please let me know if any of you will be going there! I'm so excited to be going to my top choice and I'm so happy for all of you. I know it might not be the best news for everyone today, but please don't give up on your dreams! You will make it through this roller coaster of a day. <3

I was told that I was very high at VCU and that it is likely that I would get a phone call later. I don't know if everyone does that though, but I appreciated them telling me where I was without having to ask!

I've just told the one that called me (the other one e-mailed me my acceptance) that I wanted to talk to my husband about the options before I made any decisions! I don't know if that's something you could do.. but it helped me so that I didn't sound uninterested, just want to be on the same page with him!

Well, so far I've been waitlisted at VCU but then I got accepted at Arcadia!! So I'm feeling way more relieved now. I just needed to hear from that first school to be able to breathe.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!! I can't wait to see where everyone ends up and if I will meet some future classmates through this. I'm so excited/anxious/nervous. I've been sick to my stomach all weekend but I am so relieved that the day is almost here! We've almost made it! The finish line is so close.

I'm so sad that I am just now finding this forum, but I am so excited to find a community of fellow GC applicants! It's hard to even find anybody that knows what genetic counseling is in my small town in MS. Good luck to everybody - just a little over a week guys! We've all done our very best and that's all we can do.
