  1. Kindly review my essays Issue Task To understand the most important characteristics of a society, one must study its major cities Write a response in which ou discuss theextent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position To understand the most important characteristics of a society, it is not necessary to only study its major cities. Our ancestors used to lead a very simple life so in order to feel the actual essence of cultural, ritual values we need to study small cities. Its because as our elderly people are too entrenched and it becomes very difficult for them to shift their bases. Hence in order to learn the actual values of society’s culture , rituals one need to visit or study small cities. In small cities agriculture is the main source of income and it is where modern society is also dependent. So to actually learn about the agriculture procedures one need to visit rural places. Major cities are mostly about malls , cars, and all aesthetic things which are point of attraction but that doesn’t clearly depict our actual society, it’s the small cities or rural places free from everyday hustle bustle which teaches how to lead a rustic life , with small earnings .simple lifestyle, free from pollution and eating fresh. Saying above points, I can’t deny the fact that in ancient great civilizations also there were major cities which depicted the king/queen rule over there. Yes at this present time due to urbanization most of the economy is based upon major cities, so for studies , employment one have to come to major cities and have to settle down there. Hence somehow major cities are turning out to be one’s modern society. Lastly I want to state we may have a general idea about a society from one of its major city but in order to learn the actual characteristics of a society we need to study small cities.
  2. Dear All, kindly review my essay and let me know is my way of writing and understanding capability is correct as per with the topic. I will be highly obliged if you kindly review my essay. Thanks in advance. Argument essay “A recent study of eighteen rhesus monkeys provides clues as to the effects of birth order on an individual’s levels of stimulation. The study showed that in stimulating situations(such as an encounter with an unfamiliar monkey), firstborn infant monkeys produce up to twice as much of the hormone cortisol, which primes the body for increased activity levels, as do their younger siblings. Firstborn humans also produce relatively high levels of cortisol in stimulating situations(such as the return of a parent after an absence). The study also found that during pregnancy, first-time mother monkeys had higher levels of cortisol than did those who had several offspring.” Write a response in which you discuss one or more alternative explanations that could rival the proposed explanation and explain how your explanations can plausibly account for the facts presented in the argument. As the study is being performed on 18 rhesus monkeys , its not a good amount compared to the population of monkeys all over , without giving any proves , facts and figures in this particular extract, only through visual assumptions and measuring the hormone cortisol level , perfect study cannot come to a conclusion that birth order is effected by individual’s levels of stimulation. Firstly, in the study it is mentioned ’first- born infant monkeys produce up to twice as much of the hormone cortisol, which primes the body for increased activity levels, as do their younger siblings’. I completely differ with the fact provided how can one infer that hormone cortisol is the only reason for increased activity levels, maybe the activity levels is directly proportional to the healthy infant monkeys , the food they are intaking which making them active , moreover comparison with younger siblings maybe because of the age gap , which makes the elder one more stronger and active then the younger ones. Secondly it is also mentioned that firstborn humans also show similar trend by sighting one example as the child becomes highly stimulated when parents return after an absence. But I am again to differ in this case it may be the natural instinct which makes human infants happy and active when they see their parents, how is high levels of cortisol responsible for this, its one of the factor which is observed to be produced in stimulating situations but we can’t conclude again that hormones are the only sole reason for stimulating activity in firstborn. Lastly it is mentioned that first time mother monkeys had higher levels of cortisol that did those who had several offsprings but again a vague assumption and no proof related to this statement, during pregnancy other hormones too play their role not just higher levels of cortisol. Hence with all the flaws , and ambiguous observations there is no perfect conclusion to this particular study. More detailed study is required in order to find a trend in birth order.
  3. Issue argu topic 1.docx Topic: Issue As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate. Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position Technology have captured the whole world. No doubt we are completely reliable upon technology for our day to day work but that doesn’t justify that humans will lose the ability to think for themselves. In order to use technology , we have to be aware of its uses , its properties , how one particular technology works, in what ways will it help us, after studying analyzing the utilities we jump to use that particular technology. This requires a lot of brain works, nevertheless people will think and will learn firstly to use the technology. Some will argue using calculators have lessen our capacity of mental maths, my question to them without calculators how could have archeologists solved complicated equation in order to discover something or scientists proceed with their inventions . Doing mental math is something qualified to school studies, clearing entrance exams but for complicated calculations we need the help of technology. Social networking a form of technology have helped us remembering those people whom we have forgotten , brought us closer which wouldn’t have been possible by just thinking about that friend without any contact details. Technology helps people to remember things which they could have possibly forgotten due to their busy schedule with the help of notes , reminders but as stated above at some point people thought about this day to day small problems and came up with a solution which made people’s life hassle free. Though saying that technology have helped in each step of our life and we do rely upon it , at some points I do focus upon the saying by Mr. Steven Spielberg “Technology can be our best friend , and technology can be the biggest party pooper of our lives. It interrupts our own story, interrupts our ability to have a thought a daydream, to imagine something wonderful, because we are too busy bridging the walk from the cafeteria back to the office on the cell phone” . Again , it is anomalous behavior from human part who is making it a habit to be attached to cellphones but can’t blame on technology or its creators. They just found a solution to a problem which we go through everyday. We, humans have to practice our own to keep ourselves away from technology sometimes and give ourselves some free time. As said by Mr. Edward Teller “The science of today is technology of tomorrow” , without human’s power of thinking their won’t be any innovation and for a particular innovation we have to rely upon Technology. Topic:Argument Woven baskets characterized by a particular distinctive pattern have previously been found only in the immediate vicinity of the prehistoric village of Palea and therefore were believed to have been made only by the palean people. Recently, however , archeologists discovered suach a “Palean” basket in Lithios, an ancient village across the Brim River from Palea. The Brim river is very deep and board , and so the ancient Palens could have crossed it only by boat, and no Palean boats have been found . Thus it follows that the so called Palean baskets were not uniquely Palean Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument. The problem with the argument that as Palean boats were not found across the brim river in an Ancient city named Lithios near to Palea, which makes it possible that Palean baskets are not made by palean is somewhat vague in nature. Some more accounts should be figured out before coming to a conclusion. As mentioned in the paragraph Palea is a prehistoric village near to Lithios which is also an ancient village , that suggests that there may be some trading terms between those places whether by water ways or by land. There is nowhere mentioned that the villages is connected only by river brim, its just across one another. So maybe the trade was done through land, some other possible route. Secondly, its mentioned that both Palea and Lithios are near to Brim river but there maybe more villages nearby which does trade of the same woven baskets with palea and in turns have traded those baskets to Lithios. Thirdly, how can the researchers be so sure that they would have crossed the river only by boats maybe there were wooden bridges or some other means to cross the river not just boat is the only way. As time went by those debris are lost. Fourthly, if we consider the fact that Paleans could have crossed river brim only by boat, maybe as it is the case of ancient age so the debris of boats have somehow vanished is not being found. Fifth, we can hold into consideration that as this places were near to river brim so natural calamities could have washed away the goods from one village to other for which reason palean baskets are found in Lithios. Thus examining all the various possibilities and factors ,whether the Woven baskets are uniquely Palean or not , more research work is required in this matter to know their actual originality, just a missing boat can’t cite the fact that the special woven baskets are not made by Palean.
