  1. I saw a post about being invited by Rice for interview in late Feb. Does it mean that those who are not invited have already been rejected?
  2. Congrats! It has been increasingly difficult to get in Purdue these years, I know they only select 10 out of nearly 100 applicants for admission each year. BTW,what area are you going into?
  3. I've also applied to Rice for the Fall 2011 term, I just wanna say the secretary there has a very very very terrible attitude! It's just not in her to reply emails or pick up the phone when I call her during her office hour.
  4. I received an admission (Master,F11,TAship to be discussed in March next year), the school asked me whether I would be willing to attend and I said yes. But now I blame myself for rushing into this decision, so I want to know if later I choose to go to another university instead of this one, will I suffer any bad result? I mean will this school tell other schools to reject me for dishonest or even sue me for changing my decision?
  5. You're right. But since some schools may later require you to send a complete copy of official transcript to demonstrate your graduation from your undergrad institution, you may not want your grades look bad in your last semesters.
  6. I want to apply for soci gradaute school, but my undergraduate major is not soci and I have no undergraduate credits in soci either . It's so frustrating to find that many sociology grduate programs only offer assitantships to applicants with undergraduate sociology credits. So can my auditing soci courses experience help? The soci professors from my soci courses have agreed to demonstrate my mastery in those courses in rl, so can this help me become eligible to compete for assitantship position? p.s. I have some soci research background, such as publish papers and participating in researches, and my GRE scores are good.
